あしゅさんによる、横長のフォルムが印象的なトートバッグ。

草木染めをした布に、抽象画のように色を重ね、洗うことを繰り返す。あしゅさんが生み出す布の不思議な素材感は、使い続けるうちの変化も楽しみのひとつです。

約47×23cm、マチ11cmの横長サイズ。お財布やポーチ、飲み物、文庫本など、日々の持ち物をすっきりとまとめやすく、普段のお出かけに取り入れやすい形です。持ち手は約32cmで、手に持っても腕に掛けても使いやすいバランスです。

やわらかな布の感触と、色の重なりや筆あとの表情が、装いの中でさりげないアクセントに。暮らしの中で使うほどに馴染み、風合いが育っていくことも魅力です。

神奈川県生まれ。
女子美術大学 絵画学科 版画コース　卒業
同大学院 美術専攻版画　修了

大学で油絵と版画を学び、九十九里町へと移り住む。
ガラス工芸の会社に勤務したのち、「あしゅ」として布に絵を描き、
一点もののバッグや布小物を制作する活動を始める。

Asyu / Horizontal Tote Bag

A horizontally shaped tote bag made from fabric that has been botanically dyed, then layered with color in an abstract, painterly manner and repeatedly washed. Through this process, Asyu creates a distinctive textile texture that continues to change and deepen with use.

Measuring approximately 47 × 23 cm with an 11 cm gusset, it is well suited to carrying everyday essentials such as a wallet, pouch, drink bottle, or book. The approximately 32 cm handles offer an easy balance for carrying by hand or over the arm.

Its soft texture, layered colors, and traces of the artist’s hand bring a subtle accent to daily outfits, while the fabric gradually settles into everyday life and develops its own character.
