あしゅさんによる、四角いフォルムが印象的なトートバッグ。
「藁」と名付けられたこの作品は、まるで紙袋のような佇まいと、布とは思えない独特の素材感が魅力です。
風合いにこだわった布を草木染めし、主にアクリル絵の具で抽象画のように筆を動かしては洗う工程を繰り返す。色の重なりや筆あと、手をかけて生まれた質感を、暮らしの道具へと仕立てています。
約44×33cm、マチ14cmのゆったりとしたサイズ。厚みのあるしっかりとした生地で、ノートパソコンや書類、日々の持ち物をまとめて持ち歩くのにも。短めの持ち手とすっきりとした形が、装いのアクセントになります。
手に触れる独特の感触と、使い続けるうちに変化していく布の風合いも楽しめる作品です。

神奈川県生まれ。
女子美術大学 絵画学科 版画コース 卒業
同大学院 美術専攻版画 修了
大学で油絵と版画を学び、九十九里町へと移り住む。
ガラス工芸の会社に勤務したのち、「あしゅ」として布に絵を描き、
一点もののバッグや布小物を制作する活動を始める。
Asyu / Square Tote Bag “Wara”
Named “Wara” (Straw) by the artist, this distinctive tote combines a clean, paper-bag-like silhouette with an unexpectedly textured fabric surface.
Carefully selected fabric is botanically dyed, then worked mainly with acrylic paint through repeated brushwork and washing. The process creates layered colors, expressive brush marks, and a tactile character unlike ordinary textiles.
Measuring approximately 44 × 33 cm with a generous 14 cm gusset, its substantial fabric offers room for a laptop, documents, and everyday belongings. The short handles and structured silhouette add character to everyday outfits.
The fabric's distinctive texture continues to evolve with use.
